Tai Chi Classes Offered this Fall

Tai Chi classes are being offered this fall with Dr. John Mogor on Tuesdays at  7:00 pm at the Lowell United Methodist Church (621 East Main St, Lowell). There is a suggested donation of $5.00 per session to benefit programs of Lowell Community Wellness.  Dates as follows:

October 2th, 9th, 16th, 30th

November 6nd, 13th, 20th     


Summer Kayaking Opportunities

Do you love kayaking?  Have you always wanted to give it a try but haven’t had the right opportunity?  We are offering two kayaking events this summer, one is an introductory class on Saturday August 4th- teaching the basics of kayaking with safety discussion as well as plenty of opportunity to practice and become comfortable with the fun summer activity.  A second opportunity is on Sunday August 12,  an organized group kayak down the Flat River from White’s Bridge to Fallasburg Park.   Kayaks and transportation are provided.  There is a second option on the Flat River Kayak to bring your own kayak and join along for a discounted rate.    Check out our links below for additional information and sign ups!

Summer Events 2018 – Yoga and Tai Chi

This summer Lowell Community Wellness is brining back both Yoga and Tai Chi on the Riverwalk!  Yoga is on Monday nights at 7pm and Tai Chi is on Tuesday nights at 7pm.  There is a suggested donation of $5 per session.  There are no classes the week of July 4.  Meet near the showboat and invite a friend!  Class will be cancelled at 6pm in the event of heavy rain or thunderstorms.  Check out our Facebook page for updates!

2018 Lowell Health Expo

The Lowell Health Expo is scheduled for August 16 from 10am to 3pm.  This annual event presented by Lowell Community Wellness is held in conjunction with Pink Arrow Community Day!  Our focus is to promote health and wellness for community through information and education.   This is a wonderful opportunity for health experts to gain exposure for the business and to bring awareness to the community.  Samples, hands-on exhibits, educational flyers and contact information are encouraged.  If you are interested in joining in click the links below for more info and application.

Lowell Community Wellness Self Defense Class

Lowell Community Wellness is pleased to offer the 2nd  Self-Defense Course for Women, to be held Thursday, January 25, from 5:30- 8:30 PM at Northern Physical Therapy (2050 W. Main St, Lowell).

This course, led by Sandra Thelen is limited to 20 women (ages 13 and up), and will be filled on a first come, first-served basis.  The cost is $18 per person, with additional funding provided by Lowell Community Wellness. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
